Frequently asked questions

Does ZeroGallery upload my photos or videos?

No. ZeroGallery processes media locally on your device and does not upload your photos, videos, or thumbnails to a ZeroGallery server.

Does swiping left delete an item immediately?

No. It adds the photo or video to a review screen. Nothing is deleted until you confirm through your device.

How does Blur & Quality Check work?

It uses on-device sharpness analysis to suggest possibly blurry or out-of-focus photos. It is an estimate, not a perfect blur detector, so always review every suggestion before deleting.

Does Large Video Hunt upload videos?

No. It ranks library videos using duration and resolution and creates temporary thumbnails for display. When needed, iOS Photos may fetch a thumbnail from iCloud to display a selected video, but ZeroGallery does not upload that thumbnail or your video.

Why is video permission requested separately?

Photo-only features do not need video access. ZeroGallery asks for video access only when you choose a video feature, and you can revoke it later in system settings.

How do reminders work?

Daily Photo Hunt, Streak Reminder, and On This Day Photos are optional local notifications. After you approve the iOS notification prompt, you can select a time or turn individual reminders off in ZeroGallery or iOS Settings.

How do I restore ZeroGallery Lifetime?

Open ZeroGallery, visit the ZeroGallery Lifetime screen, and choose Restore Purchases while signed into the Apple Account used for the original purchase. ZeroGallery Lifetime is a one-time purchase with lifetime access to premium features.

Why can’t ZeroGallery see all my photos?

Your device may have granted limited photo access. Open your system settings, select ZeroGallery, and allow access to all photos or update the selected photos.

How do I reset my local progress?

Open Profile → Data & Privacy → Reset local app data. This does not delete photos from your library.
